Protests
The Vehicle Code grants the Board jurisdiction to decide cases involving various franchise, compensation, and reimbursement issues between new vehicle franchisors and franchisees. In general there are statutes that provide the authority and procedures for these disputes for new motor vehicles other than recreational vehicles (RVs) (Veh. Code § 3060 et seq.) and for RVs (Veh. Code § 3070 et seq.). Protests that cover the following types of disputes:
I. Attempts by the franchisor to:

Establish a new franchise or relocate an existing franchise, including off-site sales

Establish or relocate a satellite warranty facility
