Jacob Stevens
Vice-President, Public Member
Jacob Stevens, Public Member, was appointed to the Board in June 2021, and reappointed in August 2023 by Governor Gavin Newsom. He is a member of the Executive Committee, the Legislative Committee and the Ad Hoc Committee on Equity, Justice and Inclusion. He is the Chair of the Policy and Procedure Committee.
Stevens is Vice President of a privately held real estate firm in West Hollywood. He serves as President of the Los Angeles City Building & Safety Commission and formerly sat on the Los Angeles City Revenue Generation Commission. Jacob was elected to the Eagle Rock Neighborhood Council at age 16 and is currently the 73rd President of the Occidental College Board of Governors, where he was named the 2022 Young Alumnus of the Year.
Stevens is also a former Planned Parenthood of Pasadena and San Gabriel Valley Board member and the current Treasurer of the Los Angeles County Library Foundation. He is an Eagle Scout, a three-term member of the California Democratic Party State Central Committee and was recognized as the 2019 LGBT Heritage Month - Person of the Year for Los Angeles City Council District 14. He was elected the 2022 Democrat of the Year for Assembly District 52 by the Los Angeles County Democratic Party.
Stevens is a first-generation college student and the son of a Communication Workers of America Union Steward. He lives in in the Highland Park neighborhood of Los Angeles with his rescue pitbull, Graham.
His term expires on January 15, 2027.
