Brady Schmidt, Dealer Member, was appointed to the Board by Governor Gavin Newsom in December 2022. Schmidt is Chair of the Board Development Committee, and Member of the Government and Industry Affairs Committee, and the Committee on Equity, Justice and Inclusion.
Schmidt has 34 years of automotive experience. He began his automotive career in 1991 when he joined his family's new car dealership consulting and dealership mergers and acquisitions business in Irvine, California. He was named President of National Business Brokers in 2000. He has been Dealer Principal and Partner of Puente Hills Ford since 2022 and Dealer Principal of Jerry V’s Honolulu Hyundai and Windward Hyundai, since 2021.
Schmidt is a member of the Hyundai Hope on Wheels Board of Directors, and Petra Cares National Board. He is Chairman of the Board of Directors and founding member of Giving Hope Hawaii.
His term expired on January 15, 2025.
